No matter where it is located in the world, each BRP division is part of a community.
BRP is a multinational company devoted to regions worldwide. From its very beginnings, BRP has always been an active member and advocate of the communities in which we live and work. And today, our divisions are known for giving to those who need it most.
An ongoing inspiration
BRP’s continued dedication starts with our president and CEO, José Boisjoli, who encourages every division of the company to choose a cause that means something to them – and to actively support it. For Mr. Boisjoli, this cause is improving health. Substantial funds are thus raised for the Fondation du Centre hospitalier universitaire de Sherbrooke, who uses them to improve the quality and efficiency of the Hospital's services to the population. In 2006, BRP employees contributed $70,000 through volunteered deductions on their salary, and the 2007 edition of the Domtar-BRP golf tournamenet fund-raising activity collected over $1 million. Since its creation in 1998, this golf tournament has generated profits close to $5 million.
Among other initiatives, BRP's corporate headquarters located in Valcourt, Quebec, supports the Foundation for Research into Children’s Diseases every year through the President’s Annual Ride, giving participants the opportunity to try out BRP's latest recreational vehicles while contributing to a worthy cause.
Whether it’s an annual month-long fundraiser for the United Way (Wisconsin), or a series of year-round activities for a local children’s shelter (Finland), or an annual Christmas gifts donation activity for the Salvation Army's Angel Tree Campaign (Florida), or various material and financial supports to the less fortunate (Austria), at BRP, we are inspired to come up with creative ways to help those around us.
Pitching in during hard times
Part of good citizenship is being there when you are needed the most. Time and time again, our divisions earn a reputation in their communities as someone to count on when the going gets rough.
When thunderstorms wreaked havoc in Ciudad Juárez, Mexico, BRP’s Juárez facility formed a committee to assess the homes of all employees reporting damages, resulting in significant donations of furniture, appliances, and simple building supplies such as cement.
And in the wake of Hurricane Katrina, in the United States, BRP pitched in with extensive manpower and products, including:
