Duties
As President and Chief Executive Officer of BRP, José Boisjoli is in charge of global operations for all of the company’s product lines.
Career
Born in 1957, Mr. Boisjoli obtained a Bachelor's degree in engineering from the Université de Sherbrooke in 1981. He is a member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (Québec Professional Corporation of Engineers).
José Boisjoli joined Bombardier Inc.’s Recreational Products division (now BRP) in 1989. During his career of almost 20 years, he has gained vast experience in the following sectors: product engineering, finance, marketing, sales, manufacturing operations, procurement and resource management, distribution and logistics, industrial engineering, quality assurance, and human resources.
In October 1998, he was named President of the Snowmobile and Watercraft Division (the largest division of Bombardier Recreational Products at that time). In April 2001, he was given the added responsibility of managing the ATV division. In 2003, he became President and CEO of the new company formed out of Bombardier Recreational Products and known since then as BRP.
Social Commitment
José Boisjoli is a strong believer that every business has a duty to be involved in the surrounding community. He encourages every division of the company to choose a cause that means something to them and to actively support it. For Mr. Boisjoli, this cause is improving health. Each year, substantial funds are raised under his auspices for the Fondation du Centre hospitalier universitaire de Sherbrooke and the Foundation for Research into Children’s Diseases.
