Valcourt, Québec, September 9th 2007 – The 2008 Ski-Doo® MX Z™ snowmobile has been named the "Snowmobile of the Year" by two major industry publications, American Snowmobiler and SnowGoer.
The MX Z TNT model grabbed Best Sled honors from American Snowmobiler. AmSnow editors raved that the 399 pound (181 kg) rough trail sled "blows a lot of the competition away because of its performance to value ratio," and that it is "a hoot on the trails, easy to toss around and offers a comfortable riding position."
American Snowmobiler also recognized the MX Z Adrenaline with 800R Power T.E.K. engine as its best "High-Horse" sled and the MX Z Renegade with 800R Power T.E.K. as its "Best Crossover."
Snow Goer magazine named the 2008 MX Z X-package with 600 H.O. SDI their Snowmobile of the Year, writing that the sled "represents the new era of performance snowmobiles,"and that its "600 H.O. SDI engine remains the gold standard for its near-perfect combination of power and economy."
The magazine also named the MX Z X-package with 800R Power T.E.K. engine, MX Z TNT™ and Summit™ X-package with 154-inch track to its list of Top 10 2008 snowmobiles.
