SEA-DOO® SHINES AT THE WORLD KINGS CUP!

13th Dec 2007: Pattaya Beach, Thailand: The TJSBA (Thailand Jet Sports Boating Association) World Kings Cup recently held in December is the 2nd largest PWC event in the world after the IJSBA World Finals.

The event attracts the largest crowd of any event in the world & is broadcast live on Thai national television and throughout Asia.

This year competitors from 24 countries including Europe, Asia, Australia, New Zealand, North America and the Middle East, competed for the coveted Kings Cup.

The Kings Cup offers 4 premier professional categories covering the major categories of watercraft.

The top category is the Pro Runabout 1200 Open class which has been dominated by other factory supported teams in previous years.

This year, Australian rider Anthony Antees riding a SEA-DOO® GTI watercraft with a modified 4-TEC engine package took the honors in the highly contested open class against a field of 20 professional riders.

Anthony was the top qualifier after winning his qualifying race and setting the fastest race time.

This was Anthony’s fourth attempt at the prestigious title, now capturing three Australian National number one rankings & countless other titles all with a SEA-DOO®.

Anthony’s young team mate, Expert class rider Rob White, also qualified well in the Expert Runabout Open class.

The highly prepared SEA-DOO® race craft was prepared by Gold Coast SEA-DOO® with technical support from SEA-DOO® Center, Melbourne.

These top level “Open” class machines produce over 400 horsepower; accelerate to 100km/h in under 3 seconds and on the short straights push past 130km/h.

One of Anthony’s greatest strengths was his machines ability to put the power to the water in the rough conditions, a credit to the SEA-DOO® hull design.
