Melbourne, FL March 26, 2008 — Sea-Doo® RXT-X™ and RXT™ watercraft recently swept Greenhulk.net’s 2008 musclecraft shootout by besting the competition’s entries in all categories. The results clearly show that Sea-Doo watercraft continue to be the performance leaders and put to rest misleading claims from the competition. The 255 hp Sea-Doo RXT-X and 215 hp Sea-Doo RXT earned the top two positions as the lightest, quickest, and best handling high-performance watercraft for 2008.
Greenhulk.net recently conducted a shootout between the top 2008 high performance watercraft from Sea-Doo, Yamaha†, and Kawasaki‡ to see which model reigned supreme in head-to-head comparisons. The popular website and forum is well known among enthusiasts as a credible source of performance information and general topics concerning personal watercraft.
The 2008 Greenhulk.net musclecraft shootout tested four new production models in several categories including; weight, acceleration, and handling. The models tested included the 2008 Sea-Doo® RXT-X™ and RXT™ watercraft, Yamaha FX Cruiser SHO†, and Kawasaki Ultra 250X‡.
Sea-Doo models are the lightest
The Sea-Doo models recorded the lowest overall weight at 816 and 814 pounds respectively with the Yamaha coming in at 862 pounds and the Kawasaki topping the scales at 936 pounds, a whopping 122 pounds more than the Sea-Doo RXT.
Sea-Doo models are the quickest
In head-to-head drag races the RXT-X claimed the top spot followed by the RXT with the Yamaha FX Cruiser SHO and Kawasaki Ultra 250X brining up the rear. Results from the in the radar gun-measured acceleration runs are shown below.

Sea-Doo Models are the best handling
The RXT-X also posted the fastest times on the standardized slalom course. All of the professional test riders were substantially faster on the RXT-X offering the best handling and posting the quickest times. Next in the buoy course was the RXT with the Yamaha FX Cruiser SHO and Kawasaki Ultra 250X in third and forth.
