As President and Chief Executive Officer of Bombardier Recreational Products Inc., Mr. Boisjoli is in charge of global operations of the following product lines: Ski-Doo® and Lynx® snowmobiles, Evinrude® and Johnson® outboard engines, Can-AmTM ATVs, Sea-Doo® watercraft and sport boats, as well as RotaxTMengines and karts.
Mr. Boisjoli joined Bombardier Recreational Products in 1989, after 8 years in the pharmaceutical and road safety equipment industries. During his 14-year career with Bombardier Recreational Products, he has gained vast experience in the following sectors: product engineering, finance, marketing, sales, manufacturing operations, procurement and resource management, distribution and logistics, industrial engineering, quality assurance, and human resources.
Three years after his arrival at Bombardier Recreational Products, Mr. Boisjoli was appointed Vice President, Resource Management and then promoted to Vice President, Manufacturing Operations. In October 1998, Mr. Boisjoli was named President of the Snowmobile and Watercraft Division, the largest division of Bombardier Recreational Products. In April 2001, he was given the added responsibility of managing the ATV Division.
Mr. Boisjoli's involvement in the community resulted in the creation, in 1993, of the Bombardier Sea-Doo/Ski-Doo Chair in technological change management in small and medium size businesses at the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières. He is a member of the Orientation Council of the Institut de recherche sur les petites et moyennes entreprises (Research Institute for small and medium size businesses) at the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières. Mr. Boisjoli is also a member of the Board of Directors of the International Snowmobile Manufacturers Association (I.S.M.A.).
Born in 1957, Mr. Boisjoli obtained a Bachelor's degree in engineering from the Université de Sherbrooke in 1981. He is a member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (Québec Professional Corporation of Engineers).
